Still mainly good news!

Yes, the best rain odds and totals will stay to our north, but I still think most of south-central Texas will see 1/2 inch to an inch of rain through next week, with higher totals for the northern counties and 1/4 to 1/2 inch for south Texas. Even more important is that I don't see us going into a dry spell anytime soon like we have seen for most of September and October.

Ahead of the system to our west, look for a very windy day tomorrow with gusts over 30mph for most locations. We will start seeing scattered storms as early as tomorrow afternoon and those rain odds will rise on Wednesday and Thursday as a front washes out in the Hill Country. By this weekend, rain odds rise again ahead of yet another low pressure in the west. Around mid-week, we should see the most powerful front we have seen yet this season, along with more rain chances. I'll have more on this front later this week...

Winds will be gusting to around 30mph tomorrow from the SE ahead of the system in the west.

A front will move down into the Hill Country on Halloween, but rain chances will start on Tuesday night and stay with us through next weekend.

How much rain the latest models think will fall between tomorrow and November 6th. Click on images to see them larger.

On top of our rain chances, we may see a decent front move through the middle of next week!
