I know…take all long-range forecasts with a grain of salt and a shot of tequila! Even so, with such a momentous occasion now under a month away, it doesn’t hurt to look at three long-range models and see what they are forecasting for the day and week of the total eclipse.
At this point the only model that is actually predicting weather for the 8th of April. is the CFS model. As you can see below, it is not predicting any rain that day. The Euro and the GFS only have products out for the week of the 8th, and both are predicting slightly below average rainfall.
