Wow! Prayers for our area tomorrow that no fires are started from people or downed power lines!

Here’s what our SA-Austin NWS is saying about or potentially historic day: “A strong weather disturbance will bring a high winds and very dry air into South Central Texas Tuesday. Vegetation fuels over the region are already very dry and will allow for the rapid and extreme fire spread during this period of windy and dry weather. The strength of the winds and gusts when combined with the dry air, will be at levels not seen in this area in several years.  There is a possibility that this potential weather event could lead to the issuances of Fire Warnings and High Wind Warnings for portions of South Central Texas.”

There is still a slight chance for thunderstorms tomorrow morning as the Pacific front moves through, but it will be a very broken line of storms, that won’t drop much rain for south-central Texas and pretty much zero for locations south of San Antonio. As the day progresses, the winds will increase late morning through the afternoon, with gusts to 50mph in some locations. The winds will decrease a little at sunset, but we could see gusts over 25mph through Thursday.

I’ll be at jury duty tomorrow and pretty much out of contact all day. Please feel free to post any wind observations or videos in the comment section below. Fingers crossed for everyone!
