Well, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning and predicts 6 more weeks of winter. However, according to the NOAA, Phil has a 35% overall accuracy rating over 135 years. Also interesting that we could see several days of record highs this week!
As far as January went, depending on where you live, some of you saw along the coastal plains and northern Hill Country saw above normal rainfall for the month and others, in between, below normal rainfall. Temperatures for the month were below average, thanks to our arctic outbreak. Below are the latest graphics for our drought and January stats.
I’ll be on the road tomorrow, so my next post won’t be until Tuesday…no rain this week and highs in the 80’s!
