Happy Easter!

Could the rain window be open the rest of the month?

While there are no guarantees, as of today, we will see daily rain chances through at least this week (starting Tuesday) and possibly throughout the rest of the month! For this week, deep, almost tropical moisture will return from the Gulf on Tuesday, giving several disturbances from the west, something to trigger.

Here is what the latest NWS discussion is saying today: "Throughout much of this week, the weather pattern will be favorable for rounds of showers and thunderstorms throughout South Central Texas, aided by the persistent presence of moist air characterized by PWATs at or above the 90th percentile of the climatological distribution (around 1.5 inches) and a southwesterly flow pattern aloft that puts our region in position to encounter shortwave disturbances along a diffuse jet."

Don't get too focused on today's model runs...this will be an ever-changing forecast as the days proceed. I'm just happy that late April will seem more like May, rain wise!
