I keep waiting for the models to cut us some slack for next week’s total eclipse, but every time I look at the latest runs, they continue to forecast clouds and a chance for rain and thunderstorms! Fortunately, we are still 8 days out and there is time for the models to change their minds.

As of today’s forecasts, here’s a preview of the total eclipse on the 8th!

Here are the latest greatest model runs for cloud cover percentage on the 8th at eclipse time! The blue on the top three models indicates clouds…the Euro on the bottom uses white to indicate clouds.
