An “all over the place” post!

Let’s start off with our lows this morning! Quite a few locations reported freezes in the Hill Country, with even a few locations dipping into the 20’s. How low did it go at your place and where?

Still no rain event on the horizon…let’s keep hoping that we see something happening either the last couple days of November or the beginning of December. The latest CPC 8-14 day outlook is forecasting better than even odds for temperatures below normal and above normal rainfall. Unfortunately, the latest December forecast that was just issued from the CPC has us in the better than 50/50 odds for below normal rainfall and above 50/50 odds for above normal temperatures…same goes for Dec-Feb. On a positive note, the latest CFS 90-day outlook for that same time period, is forecasting above normal rainfall.

We have two seasonal dry fronts moving through next week…one comes in on Monday night and the next one will move through on Thanksgiving Day. Unless that front moves through early, (still possible), we will be wearing shorts for turkey day!

No positive changes in the drought, but it is good to see that some parts of south-central Texas have had above normal rainfall this month. Everyone has had more rain this month than last month!
